The Human Rights Awards Dinner is an annual fundraising event hosted by the New Israel Fund, to celebrate the achievements of a diverse range of human activists in Israel and raise money so they can continue to support initiatives that promote equality and democracy in Israel. I was tasked with creating the identity for the event and the digital campaign that ran alongside it.
The concept centred around the idea of ‘shaping a better future’. The typographic logo, with letterforms built up by different shapes, reflected how the work of many individuals combined to build something big.
The event ran in parallel with a digital campaign to raise awareness about the work being done by human rights activists in Israel as well as promoting the event itself. The campaign was a huge success with more guests attending the event than ever before and a notable uptake in the number of young people attending and supporting the cause.
The awards dinner took place at ‘The Brewery’ in East London and I worked with the team to create the event graphics, print collateral (including programme) and motion graphics to be displayed on the stage throughout the event. The event was a great success resulting in a 15% increase in donations on the previous year.
